Statement of Faith

1.           We believe that the Holy Scriptures, encompassing both the Tanakh/Old Testament, and the Brit HadaSha/New Testament, are the Divinely inspired Word of God.  They are completely without error in the original writings, and are the complete revelation of His will for mankind’s salvation and the supreme and final authority in all matters of Christian faith, and life itself.

2.           We recognize the value of traditional Jewish literature, but only when that literature is supported by, or completely conformable to God’s Word.  We regard all other literature (other than God’s Holy Word), as in no way binding upon life or upon our faith.

3.           We firmly believe in one Sovereign God, Who is the personal Creator of all the universe and of all things.  He is infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three Persons: God the Father/Eloah Av, God the Son/Messiah/Christ/Ben Eloah, and the Holy Spirit/Ruach HaKodesh.  He is infinite in His wisdom, unbounded in power, and His love and mercy are measureless.

4.           We believe that God the Father is the Author of eternal salvation, having loved the world (mankind), and given His Son, Adonai Yeoshua HaMassiach/The Lord Jesus Christ, for our redemption.  Yeoshua HaMassiach/The Anointed One, was eternally pre-existent, and is Himself, the nature of man through the virgin birth, so that He possesses both the Divine and the human natures.  He is God/Man.  We believe in His sinless life and His perfect obedience to the Torah/Instruction.  We believe in His atoning death upon the Tree of Crucifixion for our sins, according to God’s Word.  Further, He arose bodily from the dead after three full days and three full nights in the burial tomb, administered to His followers bodily, ascended into Heaven, where He is now at the right hand of the Majesty on high.  He is our Koheen Gadol/High Priest, the only Mediator between God the Father and mankind, and He is in constant intercession for us.  We believe in His soon personal return in power and glory.  He is our Blessed Hope.  We further believe that in our Lord’s Second Coming, that “Every knee shall bow and every tongue will confess that He is Lord, to the glory of the Father” (Isaiah 45, Philippians 2:13, Zechariah 14).

5.           We believe that the Ruach HaKodesh/God’s Holy Spirit, is co-equal and co-eternal with the Father and the Son/Messiah.  His ministry is to glorify Adonai Yeoshua HaMassiach, and to convict men of their sins, and that He also regenerates, sanctifies, baptizes, indwells, seals, illumines, guides, and bestows His gifts upon all believers.

6.           Man was originally created in the image of God, but because of the willful disobedience of our first parents, Adam and Hava/Eve, we all have consequently sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.  Therefore, we are lost, and only through the regeneration of the Ruach HaKodesh/Holy Spirit, can salvation and spiritual life be obtained.  As a result of the separation that sin has wrought, all human beings suffer physical and spiritual death and are sinners both by nature (yet-zer-hara) and practice.

7.           We believe that by the shed blood of our Savior, Yeoshua HaMassiach, and His Resurrection, by being both a Representative and a Substitutionary Sacrifice, all who believe in Him are justified. Not by any works of righteousness which they might have done, or do, but by His perfect righteousness and atoning blood.  Also that there is no other Name under heaven by which man must be saved.  Only those who receive Yeoshua HaMassiach by faith are truly born of the Ruach HaKodesh and thus become born-again believers.  Faith is trustful acceptance of God’s Holy Word.  We believe that faith itself comes through the Word of God as a gift, and that it is by hearing His Word, that faith becomes strong and believing.

8.           There will be a bodily resurrection of all the dead, the just as well as the unjust.  The just believer will go to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord forever, while the unjust believer will face judgment which will lead to everlasting conscious punishment of both soul and body forever.

9.           We believe that the Lord’s Body, His Church, is composed of all persons who, through saving faith in Adonai Yeoshua HaMassiach/The Lord Jesus Christ, have been regenerated by the Ruach HaKodesh and are united together/ekhad/one, in the Body of the Messiah. And, Adonai Yeoshua is the Rosh/Head of that Body.  Water baptism by full mikva immersion, soon after accepting Adonai Yeoshua as one’s personal Lord and Savior, should be obtained, and is a testimony of death to sin and the resurrection to a new life.

10.       The Lord’s Supper is a memorial service setting forth in sacred and symbolic manner, the death and Resurrection of Adonai Yeoshua HaMassiach, the Lord Jesus Christ, and all true believers, and only believers, should share in it.  It is the symbolization of the Zevah Shelameem and is a celebration meal where God, His Son, our Koheen Gadol, and we, as believer-priests, eat together.
